Not perfect but still a GREAT buy. No regrets by me.

Not perfect but still a GREAT buy. No regrets by me.
Let me start off by saying I am 71 years old. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 170 pounds. I am in fairly good shape for my age but not athletic. I do walk on an indoor track that is scaled to 1 mile from start to finish. When I walk on this indoor track it takes me at my height, stride and speed I go around this 1-mile track twice for a total of 2 miles. It takes me between 40-45 minutes to walk 2 miles, but I do take at least 3-4 few minute breaks each time. So, with using that as a comparison to what I get when I walk only 1 mile with this walking pad here is what my take on it is. I set the walking pad for 20 minutes (2 x 20 on the indoor track equates to 2 miles on the walking pad). So, walking for only 20 minutes I am walking 1 mile instead of 2 as I do on the indoor track. Also, I set the walking speed at 3.5 mph so, in keeping with what I get on the indoor track, I would say that the mileage on the walking pad pretty much matches what I get on the indoor track without the walking pad. Bottom line is, is that the milage seems quite accurate. As for the speed I have no doubt that 3.5 miles is probably pretty much accurate as well because for me it is faster than a normal casual walk so I suspect if I increased the speed up to 7.5 mph there would be a noticeable jogging like pace; however, since I bought this for walking only it does exactly what I wanted it for. Now the handle does shake when grabbed on to. I need to grab onto it because if I don't my gait tends to venture off into a not so straight line and I will fall off. The handle keeps me in place using it as a guide. Now because it shakes, I wouldn't recommend it for support with SMART PHONE or TABLET because most likely with the wobble it would fall to the floor and get damaged. Also, the handle, although short comes up to my waistline but with my hands resting down on the handle does not pose too much discomfort for me. Now, if you want to increase the height you could possibly get some vinyl PVC cut to the desired length and join the ends with other PVC pieces with joints on each end to bring the handle up to your desired height and if you do it right you might get rid of the wobble. The only downside of this is it takes a little bit of extra money, not a whole lot, and a little bit of knowledge on putting it all together. Also, I noticed that my heels at times hits the back of the end stops on either side of the rear walking pad. The only way I see of avoiding this is to make sure your feet stay close to the center of the pad as you are walking. This will come in time as you get used to walking on the pad. I thought of walking bare foot or in socks, but the shoes seem to make the walk feel a little more comfortable with the extra add cushion as opposed to just feet alone. As for lubrication here is my take on that. I did a YouTube on it and here is what I found out. Do as the manual say, grab the tread on one side in the middle on the very edge, pull it up with your fingers up away from the walking deck, then with the oil provided spread some oil on the base (deck) of the walking platform not on the tread itself. Do the same thing on the other side. Pull up the tread with the fingers and oil the walking flatform (deck) in the same manner. You do not have to use the entire bottle of oil as some videos say to do. I feel that may be overkill. It is possible to over oil so you will have to use your own judgement. Once all the oil is in place get on the walking pad, start it at about 0.6 mph and walk for 10 minutes to allow the oil to work itself into the motor. Once the 10-minute slow walk is over lubrication is done. One other thing. I walk with the walking pad on full incline to give a little extra workout. All in all, I am pretty happy with this item. Sure, there is room for improvements but then again nothing is perfect and you pay for what you get. If you want one with all the bells and whistles and exact to your specifications, then you are going to have to shell out more money but for me and my use this is a great buy.

I’m really glad I bought this. I work in an office setting 5 days out of the week and stuck at a desk for 8 hours. Sometimes the weather doesn’t permit outdoor walks or by the time I'm home the sun is down. This gives me the option to mindlessly walk at home and feel comfortable while getting my steps in. Since having it my steps have significantly increased and its help my physical and mental health. It’s small enough to pick up and move around but sturdy enough to feel like I’m not going to break it walking on it. I wish the handle bar folded but it’s easy to set up, all you do is slide the pin in place and that’s it. I wish the cord was a bit longer but honestly good product for the price. It’s slim enough to fold up and stick in the closet or under the bed/couch. It’s not super loud but not silent. The led screen on it is nice as well

I bought the Kassadin Treadmill to replace another treadmill I had. My last pad was supposed to have a handle bar but it was not included. I opened it too late to return, lesson learned.

This walking pad is perfect for my needs. I'm older, I'm in a small home, I want to stay in better shape but not have to go to gyms.

Set up was extremely easy. It arrives mostly assembled. It was packaged extremely well (last pad arrived in a torn, mangled , very dirty box).

This treadmill is very light in weight. I'm out of shape, I'm older and it is no problem to lift it to move it.

It does require bolts for the handle and screen. It's a bit of a hassle to remove them to put the pad away, but for this price point I'm glad I even have a sturdy handle. The price would go up substantially to have a true folding treadmill. I'm very happy it's not just a metal pole bar. This has handles that have texture.

Size is perfect to store and for walking jogging. I'm 5'4" and I fit on the pad very comfortably.

The speed DOES go up to 10mph, and it is not preset. You start at 6 and press the plus button. Seems that some users don't understand this.

I do wish there was a pause feature/ button. There is no way to pause you have to restart. My older, crappy pad did have this feature so I'm not sure why this treadmill doesn't. There is no remote, doesn't matter to me, it's one less thing to misplace or lose.
I also wish treadmill would have a way to store the plug ON the unit. The plug on this unit is fixed, you don't remove it.

If you get this treadmill I recommend buying better lubricant. The bottle included doesn't work well at all.
I haven't used the incline, it's just the usual foot you flip up to incline the machine.
This is a fairly quiet machine, just the usual pad noise (movement, "wooshing" sound). It's very smooth.

Overall for the price paid , this machije is a good value. I am very pleased with my new Kassadin Treadmill.

Great Treadmill Alternative, but be careful

The walking pad is an excellent treadmill alternative. Is small, easy to set up, and the cost is great compared to other options. The pad feels stable and sturdy enough while walking and light jogging. Its small enough to fit just about anywhere and can be easily stored. My only concern about the pad is the use of a remote for settings, which works fine along with the bright display, but a proper safety switch would be much safer.

I bought this for my 85-year-old mom. She has been using it for a couple of weeks now and is genuinely impressed with how well it performs. She has a small room and wanted something compact, sturdy, and easy to use at home, and this treadmill checks all the boxes. It is surprisingly powerful for a small treadmill. It runs smoothly and quietly, even at higher speeds. The handlebar adds the stability she needs, which I really appreciate, since she broke her hip last year. It’s lightweight and easy to move if she needs to. She uses it on a carpet. She feels confident that it is sturdy and secure. The pad is quiet to walk on. The functions/features are simple, and the setup took less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend!

    Works well for Seniors

Best $100 piece of exercise equipment I have ever spent. It is perfect and small, compact and really good for an apartment!
I am 61 and have spine disease and I have had a regular size treadmill in the past. I gave it away due to space and really regretted not being able to walk when the weather is bad outside, so I did research and was crossing my fingers.
I am 5’3” 135 pounds and it is the perfect size. The bar is at the perfect height for safety so I can maintain my balance. I don’t hold it the whole time but it’s right there to keep me on Balance. It feels similar to a shopping cart to me-the height. My feet have plenty of room to walk it’s very comfortable. I don’t have to take small steps -just a normal stride and my feet are not close to the outer edges to where I feel like I’m gonna catch the treadmill and fall (being older I take slightly wider steps naturally). My feet don’t come close to the rear end of the treadmill either. It’s perfect. I was scared it was gonna be too small and I was gonna be burdened with “how do I return a heavy object” but there is no issue it’s a perfect amount of incline not too much not too little to make it just a little bit more muscle building-if your contemplating whether this is too small or if you’re a senior and your hesitant, I’m here to tell you that it’s a perfect treadmill. It’s much better than the regular size one that I had in the recent past.
    The space requirements are minimal.
It is packaged well too, heavy cardboard and I requested to “hide what’s inside” so it would have an extra layer of packing protection but honestly it didn’t need that.
I read many reviews that said the speed was off and I honestly can’t tell yet it’s too soon, however I’m just going to measure my distance with time elapsed because I know that I walk a 20 minute mile so I just pushed the start button and walk for 20 minutes and know I walked a mile.
I hope my review helps your decision making.

This walking pad is very easy to set up and works great for walking while working or watching TV. The handle bar gives extra stability, and the machine runs smoothly and quietly. It doesn’t take up too much space and feels sturdy. Definitely a great option for staying active at home.

Good price but has some weird issues

It's a good price for a small walking pad that you can easily move around and lean against the wall to get it out of the way. But I have some frustrations with it. The remote to increase/decrease the speed barely works. I have to aim it at the top right edge to get it to sense when I push a button. It requires a weird angle to get it to work. Half the time it doesn't respond at all. When you're walking on it, and half crouched aiming over and over again to get the button to work, it's not all that safe and it's also just annoying. It also generates static and every time I touch the handlebar while walking, it shocks me. Last, I wish the tread was just slightly longer. I'm only 5'5 and a longer/faster stride has my feet coming off the back. 3 stars because it was only $110 and it's serving the purpose I bought it for. It's just kind of weird.

We just got the treadmill today. For the price it seems to be really good. It isn't perfect, but so far so good.

Pros | My 5'4" 300lb I can get a good walking stride. My 6'3" husband has to take shorter steps but still enjoys the stride length too (for walking!) there is NO WAY you could run on this. It is compact and simple. Noise isn't too bad. I like the slight incline it offers and the ease of assembly.

Cons | The speed seems off a bit… most machines clock my walk speed from 2.5-3mph unless i'm doing a good power walk. This had my walk speed at 3-3.5 with power walk at 3.8-4 so it seems to be about 1/2 a mph off. Even though it said it is for 350 lbs when I step there is a slight delay/shift/pause/bog down, that can interrupt my walking pattern (as if I weigh too much). BUT it still works for my husband who is just at the 350 mark so probably just not a good gripping motor or something… but it is still usable.

Other | The bar is short, even for my 5'4" self… Looking down would kill my neck to use the little 'book/phone' prop and my arms seem to be a little low when I hold onto the bar, which makes my shoulders hurt. It needs to be adjustable or just like 3 inches higher for me… like 1ft higher for my husband.

I like it… I didn't pay a lot for it so I didn't expect a lot but it is good enough… it will keep me dry in the winter and not die of summer heat (I live in the desert where it gets to 130 degrees sometimes) so I'm just glad to have something that works.
